Day of Raised Bog Nature Walks on Cloncrow Bog

Join us for a Biodiversity Week event at Cloncrow Bog for a series of guided nature walks to identify species commonly found on and around raised bogs and to submit recordings to the National Biodiversity Data Centre.

Join us for one or both walks. Refreshments will be served between walks.

Walk 1 – Leave Tyrrellspass Castle at 8:30am for a guided walk on the boardwalk at Cloncrow Bog to identify birds and moths found on the bog and surrounding woodlands. Return to the castle at 10:30am.

Walk 2 – Leave Tyrrellspass Castle at 11:30am for a guided walk on the boardwalk at Cloncrow Bog to identify butterflies and plants found on and near the bog. Return to the castle at 1:30pm

Stay afterwards for an optional demonstration on how to make recordings to the National Biodiversity Data Centre website.
